Originally released in 1996, Freak Show is the second studio album from Australian alt-rock heavyweights Silverchair.
Building on the success of their debut, the band delivered a darker, more intense sound, blending raw emotion with grunge-soaked riffs that captured the angst of a generation. Produced by Nick Launay—known for his work with Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club—Freak Show features 14 tracks, including fan favourites and hit singles “Freak,” “Abuse Me,” “Cemetery,” and “The Door.”
Nominated for the 1997 ARIA Award for Best Group, this album cemented Silverchair’s place in ‘90s rock history. A vital release for fans of Australian rock and the grunge era, this LP edition offers a chance to revisit the band’s defining sophomore effort on high-quality vinyl.
