Released in 1983, Kill ‘Em All is the debut studio album by the American heavy metal band Metallica. This album is considered crucial in thrash metal’s genesis because it introduced fast percussion, low-register chords, and shredding leads to the genre.
The album successfully fuses the new wave of British heavy metal riffs with hardcore punk tempos with ease due to the precise musicianship showcased in the albums 50 minute run time.
The album was recorded in only two weeks on a shoestring budget. Originally, the band printed 1,500 copies. But the album would go on to sell over 60,000.
If you are a Metallica fan, be sure to add this monumental album to your collection!
