Celebrate 25 years of Disturbed’s debut album, The Sickness, with this limited edition green vinyl reissue.
“The Sickness” was the debut studio album by heavy metal band Disturbed.
First released on March 7, 2000, their album peaked at number 29 on the Billboard 200 chart.
Unlike Disturbed’s later albums, which are mixed in style, “The Sickness” consists primarily of heavier songs.
Furthermore, the album includes much more profanity, darker lyrical themes, and more electronic elements than later Disturbed albums.
“The Sickness” turns in a mixture of raw, gut-level metal and industrial/electronic backing that feels both logical and integrated.
Although the music has its fair share of pummeling aggression and accompanying shouted vocals, Disturbed also employ brilliant melodies throughout the album.
