Foo Fighters is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1994. It was founded by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl as a one-man project following the dissolution of Nirvana after the suicide of Kurt Cobain.
Their debut self titled album Foo Fighters was released in 1995, and proved to audiences around the world that Grohl was still a mastermind musician. Adopting punk rock and grunge arrangement throughout the 44 minute run-time, the project focuses on themes of death, love, self doubt and acceptance that spoke with ease to their new audience.
